CANINE TREATMENT

Canine physiotherapy can be beneficial for all dogs, whether they are a highly competitive agility dog, working dog or a family pet! Injury can affect any dog at any time as a result of trauma, degeneration or incorrect strengthening and physiotherapy is a great tool to prevent injury or recover from it.

Each dog is treated as an individual with its musculoskeletal system thoroughly assessed to detect areas of pain, injury or weakness whilst ensuring the application of treatment is clinically reasoned.

Some signs which may indicate your dog needs physiotherapy attention include changes in movement, decreased activity level, changes in behaviour, muscle loss, normal activities become difficult (e.g. going up the stairs), heat/swelling, sensitive to touch in a certain area, offloading limbs etc.

CONDITIONS BENEFITED BY PHYSIOTHERAPY:

- Osteoarthritis
- Hip or elbow dysplasia
- Cruciate ligament injury
-Intervertebral disc degeneration (IVDD)
-Degenerative myelopathy
